What is direct access?
You can instruct a barrister directly.
Direct access (also called public access) lets you go straight to a barrister for expert advice, drafting and representation. You deal with the barrister directly and agree the fee, fixed or hourly, before any work starts.
Read the plain-English guide- Specialist advice from the outset. Get a clear view of where you stand.
- Fees agreed up front. Many barristers offer a fixed fee, or bill hourly, agreed in writing before work begins.
- Regulated and accountable. Every barrister is on the public BSB register.
Founded by someone who has done it for 30 years
Barrister Link was founded by Paul Wright, a senior barristers' clerk with more than three decades of experience matching people and businesses with the right counsel. The idea is simple: bring that human judgement online, so anyone can find the right barrister quickly and with confidence.
Every barrister you see is regulated by the Bar Standards Board, and you can verify any of them on the public Barristers Register.
